This year has once again proven to be a fantastic season for both of our EkL teams. In their inaugural season within the East Kent Golf league, Sean Moores and his team got off to an impressive start, achieving remarkable results throughout their campaign. Meanwhile, Geoff Dwyer and the A team delivered a sensational season, securing the Division 2 league title. This was an historic moment as they had been runners-up last year, making it the first time in history for such an accomplishment. Winning the league also means that Westgate will now step into Division 1, a milestone they had never reached before.The final push was marked by a dominant 4-1 victory away to Sittingbourne, a 4- 1 victory away to Walmer and Kingsdown, and a solid 4 1/2 – 1/2 at home to Boughton, showcasing their remarkable performance throughout the season. There are so many more accolades and commendations that can be extended to acknowledge their outstanding efforts this year.We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Geoff and Sean for their remarkable contributions throughout this remarkable season.
